Before your booking is confirmed

We will not accept a booking unless it is made with a Credit Card. This shows that you are serious about renting with us, and based on the demand for this equipment, especially on weekends, we will have to turn away possible business if you have secured a date, and thus cancellation fees will apply (see below).

Before picking up your equipment

We will require the following details from you:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Mobile number
  • Date and time of pickup and return
  • Name of company for tax receipt if not personal

 

Cancellation fees

If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice from the time you are scheduled to pickup the gear, you will be charged 50% of the booking fee. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, you will be charged 100% of the booking fee.

Location & times available

We are located in Broadbeach at Freshwater Point Hotel (33 TE Peters Drive), right behind the exhibition centre on the water. We operate from a private unit, and don’t give out the unit number for security purposes. Once a time is arranged, you will need to call our mobile to let us know you are in the foyer. As most photographers operate outside of normal hours, you are free to pickup/dropoff gear from 8:00am to 9:00pm.

What to bring

Please bring along the Credit Card that you used to make the booking, and your Drivers License. For overseas residents, you will be required to leave your passport with us.

Insurance

If you require insurance, you are encouraged to organize your own. Any equipment rented from us, is not covered, and you are 100% responsible for the replacement cost, or repair cost if you lose of damage anything. If you would like to know the replacement cost of gear before hiring it, just ask us.

Delivery of gear to you

This is possible, but it is expensive, we will only go out of our way to do that for you if make it worth our while.

Posting of items?

Yes, this is possible, but only if your Credit Card will cover the replacement cost plus expenses with a pre-authorisation.

Other notes
Tardiness: You know how important it is to have your gear on time ready for your shoot, so don’t be tardy when returning it. Often there is another photographer relying on lenses etc, and if there are issues with timeliness, you may be banned from renting with us, and you will probably also get charged a late fee.
Enquiries about gear I don’t have: if it’s not on the website, I don’t have it…

Long term hire rates: I don’t have specific costs, we just work it out when you enquire.

Liability of Gold Coast Camera Hire: Gold Coast Camera Hire takes no responsibility, including in Negligence, for any rental availabilities provided to customers which do not come to fruition, or where equipment may be unavailable at the time provided to you. As an example, there may be rare cases where a previous renter has damaged an item, and it thus will would not be available.
